Stella Sienicki Szafranski remembers our library

  

Sisters, Lottie (Sis) Sienicki and Stella Sienicki Szafranski were frequent visitors to Andrew Carnegie Free Library. Stella remembers with fondness Miss Harris (the former Librarian) who was very helpful, and who administered the visitors with a no nonsense approach!

Sis and Stella both graduated from Carnegie High School. Stella, who submitted this picture, lives in Scott Township, is married, and is the mother of two children. Sis lived in the Carnegie area, however, she passed away in 2001.

This picture was taken at the annual Sienicki Family reunion in Heiber Park, located in Bridgeville Pa. The Sienicki Family celebrated its 50th family reunion in Scott Township Park in 2005. 'CarnegieCarnegie' tee-shirt were very much in evidence.
